As part of Nippon Antenna's environmental activities carried out in accordance with the company's "Environmental Policy" and "Guidelines for Behavior," we create "environmentally friendly products" based on activities compliant with the RoHS Directive enacted in Europe in July 2006.
RoHS Directive Compliancy Symbol
Products compliant with the RoHS Directive feature this symbol.
What is the RoHS Directive?
The RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ether) in the manufacture of electronic and electrical equipment, excepting some products, with the aim of reducing the load from these products on human health and the environment throughout the lifecycle of the product, from development to disposal.
Nippon Antenna practices green procurement activities for parts and materials procured from suppliers in order to deliver products to customers that do not contain any substances hazardous to human health or the environment.

In recent years, there has been concern that mineral resources mined in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding countries are a source of funding for armed groups that are causing serious human rights violations and environmental destruction.
The militants are said to be funding the trade of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold produced in these areas, and their mineral resources are called conflict minerals.
From the perspective of CSR, NIPPON ANTENNA positions this conflict mineral problem as a major issue in procurement activities and has a policy of not using these minerals in NIPPON ANTENNA products.
